Mara Lezama votes in Cancún and highlights the importance of the judicial election

Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa exercised her right to vote this Sunday in the unprecedented election for the Judiciary. Accompanied by her husband, Omar Terrazas, the state governor went shortly after 10:00 a.m. to the polling place set up at the Cancún Cultural Center, located in Superblock 21.
Upon arriving at the polling place, the governor greeted the citizens waiting their turn to vote, as well as those who had already cast their ballots. She emphasized the historic nature of this process.
"I'm here to fulfill my right and obligation to vote, because today marks a historic step in the country. This participation of the people is essential to achieving a justice system that is more citizen-friendly," he said.
The president emphasized that the June 1 election represents a key moment for building a judicial system that guarantees access to justice and equity for the population.
“Going out to vote is fundamental to what we want in our city, our state, and our country. People want justice, access to justice. That's why it's so important that we're here and that we participate responsibly,” he commented.
She mentioned that election day is proceeding normally in most polling stations in Cancún, while the governor called on citizens to go to the polls and strengthen democracy with their votes in this unprecedented judicial election.
