Margarita Stolbizer's harsh criticism of Cristina Kirchner: "She is in prison and convicted of extremely serious crimes, not persecution."

National Representative Margarita Stolbizer , who filed multiple corruption charges against former PresidentCristina Kirchner , addressed the former president's legal situation, currently under house arrest . The leader questioned the conditions under which the PJ leader is serving her sentence and warned of possible irregularities in the process.
"She complies, but with certain forms of flexibility and self-awareness. She doesn't seem to realize that she's in prison and that what she's serving is a prison sentence . The fact that she can do it at home doesn't mean she has fewer restrictions," Stolbizer said, highlighting the need for the court to set stricter limits on the Peronist leader.
Following this, Margarita Stolbizer pointed to the visits the former vice president receives and the possible production of a documentary from her home. "Whenever she goes out onto the balcony, there's someone filming behind her. They're building a myth. From that balcony, they're going to tell you who to vote for. That's why it's essential to say it clearly: this woman stole, she's in prison, and it wasn't because of persecution, proscription, or lawfare, but because of a court case with more than twenty judges, prosecutors, and experts who proved her responsibility ," she criticized.
" Cristina Kirchner is convicted of extremely serious crimes . There's no myth, epic, or persecution that can disguise it. Politics must look forward and recover the values that Kirchnerism destroyed. These aren't independent cases; they're all interconnected. The trial for the hotel case is coming up, as well as that of the repentant defendants. Cristina will accumulate other convictions and will not be able to regain her freedom or hold public office again," he added in an interview with Radio Rivadavia.
Regarding the Clean Record Law, Stolbizer lamented that it could not be discussed again in Congress this year after being rejected in the Senate, citing an alleged agreement between Kirchnerism and the ruling party to block its passage. However, she acknowledged that the law is not sufficient: "With the slowness of the judiciary, reaching a double conviction is almost an exception. Cristina has already been convicted twice, so stop talking about persecution."
In addition, she proposed reforming the Penal Code to shorten the timeframes for corruption cases. In this context, Margarita Stolbizer proposed eliminating the judicial remedies that delay prosecutions and suggested updating the public ethics law and more clearly regulating conflicts of interest. "Cristina defended having business and partnerships with the main state contractor as something natural. That is a crime here and in any serious country," she stated.
[NOW] "Cristina hasn't fully realized that she's in prison"? He added: "They're building a myth out of this" and concluded: "Cristina stole, she's in prison because she appropriated so much that Argentinians lack today."
