The PRI accuses Pablo Gómez of placing his family in government positions.

Senator Carolina Viggiano, secretary general of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) , accused official Pablo Gómez of using his position in the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) to place relatives in various federal government positions. Speaking at the Permanent Commission, the PRI member described his administration as "gray" and denounced the inclusion of several relatives on the public payroll without prior experience.
According to Viggiano, some of the relatives who held positions in the federal government include:
- The son of María Elvira Concheiro Bórquez, wife of Pablo Gómez, who works as Treasurer of the Federation .
- Francisco Luciano Concheiro Bórquez, brother of Gómez's wife.
- Luis Concheiro Bórquez, director of the Parliamentary Gazette of the Chamber of Deputies .
- María de los Ángeles Rosario Comesaña y Concheiro, Gómez's cousin, director of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation .
- Galia Borja Gómez, niece of Pablo Gómez and deputy governor of Banxico .
Viggiano pointed out that the Gómez Álvarez family's salaries exceed one million pesos, and that the UIF had been used as an instrument of political persecution against critics of the Fourth Transformation.
Following Pablo Gómez's departure, Omar Reyes Colmenares was appointed as the new head of the Financial Intelligence Unit . The Permanent Commission of the Congress of the Union unanimously approved his appointment, with 31 votes in favor and no abstentions or votes against.
Representative María de los Dolores Padierna Luna highlighted the importance of the UIF in the fight against money laundering and the financing of criminal groups , noting that unity is key to protecting the economy and curbing violence in Mexico.
From the Labor Party , Congressman Reginaldo Sandoval Flores supported the decision of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo , emphasizing that Reyes Colmenares will be essential to prevent and neutralize the flow of illicit resources , in a context of increasingly complex financial threats.
The PRI's accusation against Pablo Gómez highlights questions about the use of public office to favor family members , while the arrival of Omar Reyes Colmenares as head of the UIF seeks to strengthen the fight against financial crime in Mexico. The situation highlights the tension between the unit's management and the demands for transparency and efficiency in public administration.
