The Supreme Court leaves the Attorney General one step away from the bench for the alleged leak of Díaz Ayuso's boyfriend's email.

The Supreme Court has placed the Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz, on the verge of trial by confirming in a ruling that he is being prosecuted for allegedly revealing secrets related to the leaks regarding the case of the boyfriend of the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, for alleged tax fraud.
The Supreme Court (TS) has backed Judge Ángel Hurtado 's decision to prosecute the Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz , for the alleged crime of disclosure of secrets, for which the accusations call for up to 6 years in prison, for the leak of information about the investigation into tax crimes against Alberto González Amador , the boyfriend of the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso . The Appeals Chamber upholds the decision of the investigating judge in the case to prosecute him for the crime of disclosure of secrets.
The Appeals Chamber, composed in this case of Judges Andrés Palomo, Eduardo de Porres, and Julián Sánchez Melgar, has dismissed the appeal filed by the State Attorney's Office, representing García Ortiz, but by a majority, as Palomo cast a dissenting vote.
However, they unanimously upheld the appeal by the head of the Madrid Provincial Prosecutor's Office, Pilar Rodríguez, who dismissed the case, thus removing her from the case.
