You vote and you eat it! Alleged fraud with 'electoral sticker' at Cancún polling station

During voting this Sunday, June 1, in the historic election to appoint judges, magistrates, and ministers of the Federal Judicial Branch, La Verdad Noticias revealed a clever mechanism of voter coercion at polling station 149 in Cancún's superblock 95.
According to a woman who claimed to be involved in voter recruitment, certain individuals are being given an “ electoral wafer ”: an edible sheet measuring approximately 15 by 7 centimeters containing the exact list of numbers corresponding to the candidates to be marked on the ballots.
According to the story, those who agree to participate are promised a food package or up to 500 pesos. Once inside the booth, they must check the sticker to mark the ballots as indicated, take a photograph of them—along with their voter ID—and send the images to a leader. They must then eat the sticker to avoid leaving physical evidence.
"There are district leaders and deputy leaders who seek out their recruits. They give them instructions, the badge, and then ask for their photo. Then they eat it up," the woman said.
The image of the sticker, shown in this article, matches the official lists of candidates by number and position, differentiated by color. The sheet contains the numerical codes for Supreme Court justices, members of the Electoral Tribunal, circuit magistrates, and district judges.
In the case of local judicial offices in Quintana Roo , the ballots are marked by blocks of proposals: gray represents the Executive Branch, brown the Legislative Branch, and pink the Judicial Branch. According to the woman, the instruction in these cases was to vote for the gray block.
