S2 is awarded the cybersecurity contract for the Generalitat Valenciana for 46 million euros.

The Valencian company will be responsible for IT security for the regional government for the next four years and will create a new innovation center.
The cybersecurity contract tender launched by the Valencian Government has been awarded to S2 Group , the company that submitted the sole bid. This is a 45.9 million euro contract, a significant investment for the firm that specializes exclusively in cybersecurity.
With this transaction, the Valencian firm will be responsible for protecting the regional administration for a period of 48 months , as specified in the terms and conditions.
The tender includes "computer security services, both preventive and reactive, to mitigate and prevent security incidents in information systems for the target groups: public administrations, the productive sector, and the citizens of the Valencian Community."
Some of the services are considered services—the main service from an economic point of view—and others are supplies. The bidding conditions stipulate that both must be provided by a single contractor.
S2 Group will be required to provide support to the Valencian Community's ICT Security Centre (CSIRT-CV) , an entity that the Generalitat (Catalan Government) has had since 2007 and which "must adapt its services and capabilities to meet new challenges and ensure that the Valencian Community is a safe space," the tender document states.
S2 Group explains that the CSIRT-CV service is a strategic project, to which the company "has been committed since its inception, and has contributed to its development to become a national benchmark among the various regional cybersecurity centers."
It also includes the launch of the Cybersecurity Innovation and Competence Center project, which aims to "boost the cohesion of the cybersecurity ecosystem and foster innovation to address current and future cybersecurity challenges." In this case, it seeks to promote connectivity in the industrial sector .
