Brugada promises there will be no impunity in the murders of Ximena Guzmán and José Muñoz.

MEXICO CITY (apro) - Mexico City Mayor Clara Brugada asserted that there will be "no impunity" in the murder of her personal secretary Ximena Guzmán and her advisor José Muñoz.

The capital's leader observed a minute of silence in memory of her collaborators.

Ximena Guzmán, private secretary to Mayor Clara Brugada, and her advisor José Muñoz were murdered Tuesday morning. The attack occurred on Avenida Tlalpan, near the intersection with Eje 4 Sur Xola, in the Benito Juárez borough.

Media reports indicate that the attack occurred in front of the Xola 680 residential complex, on Calzada de Tlalpan, toward Mexico City's historic center. A 2021 Audio Q2 pickup truck was left at the scene.
