Chivas Femenil lets the lead slip against América at Akron Stadium.

A thrilling match took place Thursday night at the Akron Stadium between Chivas and América. In front of 34,883 fans, the red-and-white team entered the first leg of the Liga MX Femenil Clausura 2025 Semifinals with the obligation to take advantage. However, they let victory slip away with a penalty kick in stoppage time and ended the match with a 2-2 draw against the Azulcremas.
For a few moments, Guadalajara looked like they could break their eight-year streak without beating the Águilas in a Liguilla match. Until the 90th minute, everything was happy in the Zapopan stadium, but a handball by Casandra Montero in the six-yard box in the final minutes prevented the Rebaño from emerging victorious.
