Franco Colapinto and a new look for the Barcelona Grand Prix: what changes were made to the car and the driver's suit?

The Barcelona Grand Prix will mark a turning point in the Formula 1 season: not only for what's at stake on the track, but also for the debut of a refreshed look that pays homage to Alpine's history . It will be a weekend where history and modernity merge, with an exclusive model that celebrates seven decades of legacy in top-level racing.
Amidst this symbolic setting, Franco Colapinto , the young Argentine driver who continues to gain prominence in the category, will once again climb into the car, motivated by the desire to represent his country in a race that promises thrills. But this time, there will be changes to both the car and his suit .
The French team Alpine decided to celebrate its 70th anniversary with a complete redesign of the A525 single-seater . The characteristic pink color has disappeared, giving way to a tricolor aesthetic that represents the colors of the French flag: blue, white, and red .
In addition, the new car will feature the “A70” logo , in reference to the anniversary, making this version a special edition within the 2025 Formula 1 calendar .
Alpine is looking to strengthen its identity in a context of team renewal, investing in young talents like Franco Colapinto . Barcelona will therefore be a race of historic significance for the brand and a golden opportunity for the Argentine to continue racking up miles in the top flight.

The redesign also reached the competition suits . Both Franco Colapinto and his teammate Pierre Gasly will wear completely new uniforms, created especially for this tribute .
The pilots' suits will have blue and red stripes , matching gloves and a badge on the chest with “the A arrow” , an emblem that refers to the original Alpine shield .
This change of image, in addition to celebrating the team's history, reinforces Colapinto's position within the team, which has been undergoing a period of transition. The Argentine driver , who made his debut this season as Jack Doohan's replacement at Imola, arrives in Barcelona after a standout performance in Monaco, where he finished 13th and left positive signs.
