Independiente Rivadavia and Belgrano were boring on Friday night.

Independiente Rivadavia and Belgrano de Córdoba drew 0-0 at the Bautista Gargantini stadium in the third round of the Professional League Clausura.

The first half was entertaining, with the home team's possession more clearly. Through the control of their midfielders, Independiente dominated the game. Amarfil, Retamar, and Bottari were always passing options.

However, the most dangerous and active player was Sebastián Villa . As usual, the Colombian was the most aggressive, and his feet produced the most dangerous chances of the opening half. He stood like a classic playmaker, and in the 10th minute, he slipped a great through ball to Retamar, who delivered a low cross that miraculously missed Arce.

In the 34th minute, it was the captain himself who received the ball wide and unleashed a blistering cross that sailed wide, with no one to tap in. Before the break, he intercepted a back pass from defender Morales, and as he was about to finish, he lost it to the goalkeeper.

Belgrano also respected what their coach's teams always display. They tried to stay firmly planted in defense and let their attackers loose to try to capitalize on counterattacks. Thus, Uvita Fernández and González Metilli had their chances with weak shots.

The Pirates grew a little more dynamic in the second half, pushing their lines forward a few meters to create more danger. They had a few chances, with shots from Ulises Sánchez, Lisandro López, and Julián Mavilla that went wide.

La Lepra's performance declined compared to the first half. Much of this was due to Villa's lack of influence, and this was evident in the decrease in their number of chances. Retamar only had one attempt from three-quarters of the pitch, which the goalkeeper saved, and Villa had a free kick.

The next challenge for La Lepra is to stay alive in the Copa Argentina , where they will face Central Córdoba de Rosario on Wednesday afternoon in San Luis. Meanwhile, in the next round of the Clausura, they will visit Estudiantes de La Plata.
