Juan Manuel Márquez gives his opinion on the arrest of Chávez Jr.

A new voice in Mexican boxing spoke about the unfortunate situation of Julio César Chávez Jr. On this occasion, it was Juan Manuel Márquez who shared his thoughts on the son of the Mexican legend, making it clear that it is something negative for the image of boxing and for his own family .
Chávez Jr. was arrested on July 2 by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for illegally possessing a firearm. Additionally, the son of the "Grand Champion" has an arrest warrant in Mexico issued by the Attorney General's Office for organized crime and arms trafficking.
A few days ago, Julio César Chávez Carrasco missed his hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court, but he didn't show up because he's still being held by ICE.
What did Juan Manuel Márquez say about Julio César Chávez Jr.?"Dinamita" Márquez appeared on ProBox TV, where he lamented the situation of the Mexican legend's son , emphasizing that this problem has been detrimental to the Chávez family, as well as to the sport.
"I think what's happening is sad. After all, he's the son of a figure, the best fighter in the history of Mexican boxing, in my opinion. And I think that living through this isn't good. It's not good for the image of boxing and for the Chávez family."
However, Juan Manuel Márquez assured that he is not surprised by all this, since this is not the first time that Chávez Jr. has been involved in very controversial issues .
"You can't combine sports with that kind of thing, and I think in that sense, as they say, whoever does wrong will end up wrong, and I think he has to look at that situation, he has to follow up on it because we've seen Chávez Jr. have issues of that kind beforehand, and I think they harmed him little by little."
