One year in prison for each of the five defendants accused of racially abusing Vinicius in Valladolid in December 2022.

The Provincial Court of Valladolid has sentenced each of the five accused of insulting Vinicius Jr. in the football match played on December 30, 2022 at the José Zorrilla Stadium in Valladolid to one year in prison for a hate crime.
The defendants confirmed this Wednesday that they will accept this sentence once an agreement has been reached between the parties, after which the presiding judge of the court announced the court's ruling. They also publicly apologized for the incident and pledged not to set foot on a football field for the next three years.
According to the Prosecutor's Office's provisional findings, which the defendants acknowledged in the Valladolid Court, the events occurred during the match between Real Valladolid CF and Real Madrid CF, corresponding to the fifteenth matchday of LaLiga Santander.
It was around the 88th minute of that First Division league match, during the substitution of visiting team player Vinicius Jr., when the player was heading towards the visiting team's bench from the outside of the pitch and the suspects uttered the insulting remarks.
These insults, "uttered with the clear intention of humiliating and damaging the player's dignity for obvious racist reasons, were documented by several recordings made by fans watching the match from different points in the stands" and were published on social media.
These statements had a significant public impact at the national and international levels and led to the opening of administrative disciplinary proceedings against the accused, currently suspended by the State Commission Against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport.
Vinicius has waived his right to compensation , while the defendants have filed a written statement acknowledging the racist nature of their statements and apologizing.
The incidents constitute five hate crimes and crimes against discrimination, for which each defendant has been sentenced to one year in prison. In addition, four of the five defendants must pay a nine-month fine of six euros per day (1,620 euros), and the fifth a nine-month fine of four euros (1,080 euros) .
The Court also imposed a special disqualification from the educational profession or occupation, in the teaching, sports, and leisure fields for four years.
The ruling is expected to be communicated to the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, for the purposes of the administrative proceedings initiated.
The court has suspended the execution of the prison sentence at the request of the parties for three years, during which time the defendants may not commit any further crimes, must remain at the court's disposal, and must notify the court of any change of address.
