REYNOSA, Tamps. (apro) – Relatives of the three women who disappeared last Sunday on the Cadereyta-Reynosa highway demanded answers from the Nuevo León Attorney General's Office, given the lack of information about the efforts being made to locate them.

"So far, they haven't told us anything," said Alejandrina Hernández, sister of one of the missing women. She stated that they don't know what type of search the Nuevo León Prosecutor's Office is conducting, as they haven't received any official information.

The vehicle they were traveling in, a gray Ford Fusion, was located in the municipality of Los Ramones, but there is no trace of the women.

“We don't want the car, we want them, we want them alive,” Hernández declared.

The family members asked the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, to expedite the investigation and demand clarity from the Attorney General's Office regarding the actions they are taking.

"We want the governor to support us, to search for us, to tell us something. Many days have passed, and we still have no answers," they demanded.

They reported that the missing person report was filed in Nuevo León, since the last contact occurred there, although the search is underway in both states. They mentioned that other family members are in Nuevo León awaiting the investigation and searching for their loved ones.

It's worth noting that on Wednesday afternoon, an operation was carried out on the border between Tamaulipas and Nuevo León, involving the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and members of the Amor por los Desaparecidos collective. The operation also sought nurse Pedro Antonio Lorenzo Martínez, who disappeared in similar circumstances. His truck, a 2014 Nissan Rogue, was found abandoned in Cerralvo, Nuevo León.

The four people disappeared Sunday night as they were traveling toward Reynosa, along the Cadereyta-Reynosa highway.
