Results of the National Olympics triathlon in Progreso, Yucatán

The Jalisco national team took home the most medals in the triathlon event at the 2025 National Olympics held this Friday in Progreso , where they collected three gold medals, according to a statement from IDEY.

The host country of Yucatán did not have any athletes on the podium , although the duathlon and biathlon events on the Progreso boardwalk are still to come .

In the triathlon, Ismael Romo Campos, from Jalisco, won gold in the 12-13 age group with a time of 15.18 minutes, leaving second place to Jaziel Chavez Reza, from Chihuahua, with 15.36 minutes, and third to Eduardo Zurita Hernández, from Tamaulipas, with 15.45 minutes.

In the women's category , Nicole Jiménez Pérez, from Oaxaca , came in first place, with 17.08 minutes: Daniela Ontiveros Machuca, from Jalisco, in second place, with 17.25 minutes, and Alana Pizaña Coria, from Campeche, with 17.38 minutes, in third place.

Paul Probert González, from UNAM , took first place in the 14-15 age group with 16.21 minutes, followed by Enrique Morales de los Santos, from Tamaulipas, with 16.28 minutes, and Santiago Espejel Cortés, from Jalisco, with 16.35 minutes.

In the women's category , Sofía Ramos Gómez from Jalisco, with 17.41 minutes; Valeria Cañizalez Vizcarra from Campeche, with 18.24 minutes; and Andrea Hernández Bautista from the State of Mexico, with 18.31 minutes.

Diego Suárez Arias, from Nuevo León, was first in the 16-17 age group with 15.27 minutes, followed by Alessando Cortez Delgado, from Aguascalientes, with 15.30 minutes, and Leonardo Zurita Hernández, from Tamaulipas, with 15.39 minutes.

In the women's category , Rebeca Rivero Franco from Nuevo León, with 16.01 minutes, Constanza Rueda Martínez from Oaxaca with 16.44 minutes and Lisa Díaz Hernández from Tamaulipas with 16.47 minutes

Regina Michel Camacho of Querétaro took first place in the 18-19 age group for the women's category with a time of 21.49 minutes; Ivanna Villatoro Sandoval of Oaxaca took second place with a time of 22.00 minutes; and Nayla Figueroa Padilla of Sonora took third place with a time of 22.05 minutes.

In the men's branch, Luis Miguel Chávez, from Jalisco, with 18.56 minutes, Raul Díaz Rodríguez, from Quintana Roo, with 19.06 minutes, and Emilio Ibarra Veyna, from Jalisco, with 19.21 minutes

Nicolás Probert Vargas of UNAM took first place with 18.38 minutes in the 20-23 age group , a race he won for the fifth consecutive year; followed by Eduardo Núñez Gómez of the State of Mexico with 18.43 minutes, and Uziel Valderrabano Chávez of Mexico City with 18.51 minutes.

In the women's category, Mercedes Romero Orozco finished with 20.48 minutes, Marcela Alvarez Solís with 20.56 minutes, and María López Faraudo with 21.32 minutes, all from Jalisco.

Jaime Cadaval Baeza, president of the Mexican Triathlon Federation, attended the awards ceremony along with Armin Lizama Córdova, director of the Yucatán Sports Institute, and Erick Rihanni González, mayor of Progreso.
