Rieleros dominate with 20 runs and tie the series against Saraperos in Saltillo

After falling in a game of two-run homers that went to extra innings, the Rieleros de Aguascalientes responded with a dominant offense to tie the series against the Saraperos de Saltillo , winning 20-5 in the second game played at the Francisco I. Madero Stadium.

Cameron Gann started on the mound for Nave Verde , and he looked to be off to a good start when the Saraperos took the lead in the second inning on a single by Jonathan Araúz that drove in a run by Missael Rivera (1-0).

However, in the fourth inning, the Rieleros offense began to turn the tide. A single by Alberto Rodríguez allowed Ángel Reyes to score, and a double by Mario Feliciano brought in two more, with Rodríguez and Kelvin Meleán crossing the plate (3-1). The production didn't stop there.

In the top of the fifth, Gabriel Cancel hit a one-run double, and Ángel Reyes added a two-run single to extend the lead to 6-1. In the sixth, things got even more complicated for the home team. Cancel came through again with an RBI double, followed by a throwing error by pitcher Ángel Reyes that allowed two more runs. The damage was completed with a three-run triple by Alberto Rodríguez , leaving the score at 12-1.

The Rieleros kept up the pressure in the seventh. Andretty Cordero hit a three-run homer, and then Ángel Reyes added another solo shot (1-16). Saltillo responded in the bottom of the inning with a run scored by Jorge Morales after a force out (2-16).

In the top of the ninth, Aguascalientes sealed the game with a cluster of four more runs, thanks to a single by Rodríguez and runs by Isaac Arias, Ángel Camacho, Lázaro Alonso and Rodríguez himself (20-2).

Despite the wide deficit, the Saraperos managed to close out the game with two home runs in the ninth. Luis Carlos Martínez hit his first home run in the Mexican Baseball League, followed by Brandon Villarreal, who also drove in a run for Jorge Morales to make it 20-5.

The third and final game of the series will be played this Wednesday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m., where both teams will look to clinch the series at a key moment in the season.
