Saltillo Country Club restricts golf practice to 150 yards due to lawsuit

Starting June 14, 2025 , the golf practice area at the Saltillo Country Club will be restricted to a maximum of 150 yards , after the administration of the sports facility was judicially notified of a civil lawsuit seeking to suspend said activity.
In an official statement, the club reported that the decision was made by the Board of Directors and the Golf Committee , who discussed the content of the complaint, filed on June 10.
The legal challenge argues that golfing in the area could pose a risk to third parties, pointing to potential impacts on cyclists, pedestrians, motorists, and nearby homes and businesses.

Given this situation, it was decided to limit the use of the practice tee to a maximum distance of 150 yards.
Country Club staff will be responsible for ensuring that the new guidelines are strictly followed.
Failure to do so could result in penalties ranging from a warning to a possible suspension.
The administration also warned that failure to comply with this provision could result in a complete judicial suspension of golf at the club.
Therefore, they urged members to comply with the new rules responsibly to avoid further legal consequences.
