Saraperos announces the departure of 'Samurai' Alejandro Mejía; he will play with Dorados de Chihuahua.

A few hours before the start of the series against Caliente de Durango , the Saraperos Club of Saltillo announced a series of important movements in both the roster and the coaching staff, in an attempt to reverse the difficult moment they are going through in the Mexican Baseball League .

Two new reinforcements arrived from Chihuahua : Dominican infielder Cristian Santana and Australian left-handed pitcher Lewis Thorpe , both from the Dorados .

To complete the trade, the Saraperos gave up infielder Alejandro Mejía and catcher Rusber Estrada .

In addition, Bobby Bradley , an infielder who was a free agent after his time with the Tijuana Bulls last season, joined the Saltillo team.

With these moves, the front office is looking to revamp the offense and solidify the pitching, two of the departments that have suffered the most at the start of the season.

There have also been recent adjustments to the coaching staff. José Manuel Hernández was introduced as the new pitching coach, while the departures of Giovanni Carrara and Eliézer Alfonzo were made official a few days earlier.

Their places were taken by Adán Muñoz (bench coach), Juan Carlos Canizales (hitting coach) and Gerardo Sánchez (third base coach).

Meanwhile, outfielder Romer Cuadrado was released from the organization, in a move that continues to shape the team's internal restructuring.

The Serape board does not rule out more moves in the coming days, seeking a shake-up that will reactivate the team, currently second to last in the Northern Zone , only above its rival tonight, Caliente de Durango .

The series begins this Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the Francisco I. Madero Stadium , with broadcast through RCG Media and the official LMB streaming.
