Sugar Núñez is the new super featherweight champion

▲ Mexican Eduardo Sugar Núñez (left) was crowned IBF super featherweight world champion by unanimous decision over Japanese Masanori Rikiishi. In a bout held at the Butai Arena, the Mexican took the belt that was vacant after Anthony Cacace did not attend a mandatory defense following his victory over Joe Cordina in May 2024. The Sinaloan dominated all 12 rounds and achieved his first victory by this means. He came out with his fist raised with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 117-111. Photo @bxstrs
