The reason why Carlos Alcaraz already knows the date and time of his Wimbledon debut... long before the draw

Carlos Alcaraz is more than ready to make his debut at Wimbledon . The Murcian has won the last two editions and wants a third consecutive trophy. The fight will begin for him before his great rivals, as is dictated by the tradition of the London Grand Slam , whereby the Spaniard already knows the date and time of his debut without even the draw having been made.

It's just one of the many traditions of the legendary English tournament. The winner of the previous edition always has the privilege of using the center court for the next edition.

Thus, Alcaraz already knows that he will be the first to step on it on Monday the 30th at around 1:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. Spanish peninsular time) without yet knowing his rival, as this will come from the draw for the tables yet to be held next Friday the 27th at 11:00 a.m. (Spanish peninsular time).

Alcaraz has already stepped onto the grass at Wimbledon

Waiting to find out his opponent and for the big debut date to arrive, Carlitos has already arrived at the Wimbledon facilities this Wednesday to have his first contact with the grass after his victory in the Queen's final last Sunday.

Carlitos trained around 11 a.m., now under the supervision of Juan Carlos Ferrero , in the first of his five sessions prior to his long-awaited debut.
