Javeriana University launches technical and technological training programs

This Wednesday, May 7, the Pontifical Javeriana University announced a significant step in its educational offerings , by presenting its new Javeriana TEC program.

This is a new program for technical, technological, and vocational training and human development, designed to meet the needs of young people, their communities, and their families, in coordination with various social stakeholders and the productive sector, initially in the Sabana Occidente region of Cundinamarca.

"Aware of the changing labor dynamics, the growing demand for specific skills, and the need for more flexible training paths, the University is opening up this new training opportunity, with the same quality that characterizes the Institution in all its higher education programs, and which also promotes the development of applied skills, employability, and entrepreneurship," the university emphasized in the presentation of this model.

According to Father Luis Fernando Múnera, the institution's rector, "This project is an educational initiative developed specifically in the area and coordinated with communities and their productive networks. It opens a new horizon for Javeriana University in terms of social transformation, educational inclusion, and impact in the regions."

Initially, Javeriana TEC's academic offerings in Sabana Occidente Province will focus on the areas of health and care; logistics, manufacturing, and transportation; digital transformation; and ecotourism .

Programs will be offered in prehospital care, quality control in the food industry, sales and business, big data analytics and AI applied to MSMEs, tourism management, and restaurant administration, among others.
