The Alhambra increases the price of general admission to 21 euros starting August 1.

The Official Gazette of the Andalusian Regional Government (BOJA) published this Friday the order by which the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife updates the prices for admission to the monumental complex and the spaces affiliated with this organization, which is part of the Ministry of Culture and Sport, starting August 1. The price of a general daytime visit to the Nasrid site has risen to 21 euros.

This is stated in the BOJA, consulted by Europa Press , which specifies that the public prices established for tickets in their different modalities will apply to purchases made after the order comes into effect, that is, on August 1 , regardless of the date of the visit.

The prices, reported this Friday by the newspaper Ideal, also include details by type of visit: the daytime visit to the Gardens, Generalife, Partal and Alcazaba will be 12 euros , while the night visit to the Nasrid Palaces will also be 12 euros, and the night visit to the Generalife Palace will be eight euros.

The Alhambra Experiences option, which includes a visit to the Alhambra and the Generalife on two consecutive days (a night visit to the Nasrid Palaces and a daytime visit to the Gardens, Generalife, Partal and Alcazaba), will cost 21 euros , under this update, which, together with the regulation of the reduced and free entry system, as well as other measures to promote visits, provide the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife with "a regulation more in line with both its financial demands and its commitment to public service", as stated in the order dated July 17 signed by the Minister of Culture, Patricia del Pozo.

As for visits to the Andalusian monuments (Corral del Carbón, Bañuelo, Dar-al-Horra Palace, Casa Morisca del Horno de Oro and Maristán), the complete visit will cost eight euros , and each one individually will cost two euros, with the Corral del Carbón being free to enter.

The Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife may establish combined visits that, in addition to the aforementioned options, include visits to the following distinct areas, at the following prices: a daytime visit to the Gardens, Partal, and Palace of the Generalife (eight euros); a daytime visit to the Alcazaba (eight euros); a visit to the Torres Bermejas (two euros); and a visit to the Carmen de los Porcel (two euros).

For the different types of visit, the reduced public price is set at 14 euros for the general daytime visit, and eight euros for the daytime visit to the Gardens, Generalife, Partal and Alcazaba, the same as for the night visit to the Nasrid Palaces, while the night visit to the Generalife Palace will be six euros.

Alhambra Experiences is now available at a reduced price of 14 euros , and the different areas available for visit are available at six euros, including daytime visits to the Gardens, Partal and Generalife Palace, as well as those to the Alcazaba.

Holders of the European Youth Card , citizens of the European Union over 65 years of age, people with a disability of 33% or more , members of large families, children aged between 12 and 15 years old , both inclusive, when their public visit or cultural activity is not included in specific programmes established by the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife for this group, and groups linked to cultural or educational institutions with prior authorisation will be able to access the public visit with these reduced tickets.

The conditions for special programs and those in collaboration with other entities are also stipulated, such as the Alhambra Tourist Voucher, the Granada Card, or similar cultural tourism products , the combined visit with the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation or the Dobla de Oro, and the cultural visit, as well as those governing free admission and special cards.

Regarding the opening of spaces, it is specified that, "outside of regular public opening hours, this may involve special visits aimed at academic institutions, conferences, cruise ships, and similar events, companies, as well as meetings, with the specific purpose of offering its members a more intimate and unique insight into the Alhambra."

In addition, a fixed price is established based on the space required for the monument to be opened, with the corresponding increase in value-added tax according to applicable legislation, and an admission price for each visit per person, with children under 12 free.

Of the Nasrid Palaces, the opening price is stipulated at 5,855 euros , with admission per person at 12 euros, the Generalife Palace and Gardens being 4,684 euros with admission at eight euros, and the Nasrid Palaces, Gardens and Generalife Palace being 8,197 euros with admission at 19 euros.

An additional 1,171 euros is stipulated for the "additional space normally closed to visitors, subject to prior authorization and in the manner and under the conditions determined" by the Board of Trustees of the Alhambra and Generalife.
