NS warns: 'Very disrupted timetable in places where there are no strikes'

NS warns: 'Very disrupted timetable in places where there are no strikes'

This morning, the NS is struggling with a very disrupted timetable in the areas where there is no strike and where trains should be running. This is because some NS employees do not want to drive trains that start in the strike area during a regular timetable, an NS spokesperson reports.

There are still trains running in the areas where there is no strike and where the NS wanted to run as normally as possible, but there are also trains that are cancelled. He cannot give a percentage of how many trains are not running.

If you want to know how to apply for compensation from the NS, watch the video above and read this Metro article .

The spokesman explains that some trains normally start in what is now the strike area, for example the train from Groningen to The Hague. Since there is a strike in Groningen, that train should have started today in Amersfoort, which is outside the strike area. However, some NS employees do not want to drive such so-called contaminated services.

In the provinces of Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, Zeeland, Noord-Brabant, Limburg and part of Gelderland, no NS trains are running due to a staff strike. The NS had adjusted the timetable in an attempt to keep trains running as much as possible in the provinces of Utrecht, Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland despite the strike.

The carrier reports that it finds it extremely annoying that passengers are experiencing major inconvenience for the third time in a short period due to the strike, which was announced earlier . "Taking action is a right," according to NS. But, the carrier indicates, as far as they are concerned, the company was and is not yet finished negotiating with the unions.

"No final offer has been made. Our door has always been open to resume collective labor agreement negotiations. NS is aware of the unions' statement that they expect an improved proposal. We are considering how we can get out of this impasse together."

International trains are running according to schedule today.
