This macabre story began a few days ago. Dead animals began to be found in the vicinity of Sieradz. They had all been poisoned.
Everything indicates that the animals fell victim to an insidious poisoner. They ate specially prepared meat stuffed with some deadly substance.
"This meat looks like a steak, but there is a deadly substance inside," Agata Gabrysiak, an animal rights activist, told tvn24.pl.
The case is being handled by the police from Sieradz. Junior Asp. Mariola Sucherska says that the first reports concerned seven dead animals. The investigation is being conducted in cooperation with the District Veterinary Inspectorate and the Commune Office in Błaszki. Agata Gabrysiak emphasizes that the traps were placed close to buildings, which indicates that the perpetrator acted intentionally.
The animal welfare association , together with the owner of one of the dead dogs, has offered a reward of PLN 2,000 for information that helps locate the perpetrator.
