Świnoujście Kite Flying Championships

Świnoujście. The 21st Świnoujście Open Kite Flying Championships for the Świnoujście Mayor's Cup will take place on Sunday, September 21st, on the beach near the "Wiatrak" airfield. The competition begins at 11:30 a.m.

Participation in the competition is free. Children, teenagers, and adults can participate – individually or through applications submitted by schools, social organizations, community centers, or community centers. Simply show up at the beach with a kite you've made or purchased.

Kites will be judged in two categories: static (originality, workmanship, and visual appeal) and flight (flight quality, stability, and special effects). The competition will be divided into kite types: flat, box, and pre-made, as well as age groups, from preschoolers to adults.

The competition is organised by the Świnoujście Kyokushin Karate Academy, and co-organised by the OSiR "Wyspiarz" and the Świnoujście City Hall.

The championships are aimed not only at sporting competition and good fun, but also at popularizing knowledge of aerodynamics, developing creativity and intergenerational integration.

The seaside railway invites you

Gryfice County. The Seaside Narrow Gauge Railway has prepared educational tours (Educational Time Travel) for primary and secondary school students. Each tour option guarantees an interesting adventure with an educational twist. There's also a project for seniors vacationing on the Baltic Sea in September called "Railway for Seniors." This is an active way to spend time, aimed at people aged 60+. Seniors can take advantage of a tour that includes visits to selected tourist attractions along the coastal narrow gauge railway. During the tour, the group travels exclusively by train, with no need for additional means of transport. "Educational Time Travel" and "Railway for Seniors" are two proven promotional projects that have been popular for years among organized groups visiting the Rewal coast outside the summer season. They are available on weekdays, Monday through Friday, until the 26th of this month. Starting in October, Seaside Narrow Gauge Railway trains will run on weekends, and the promotional tour will be available on Fridays.

The train ride from Gryfice to Pogorzelica is a nearly two-hour journey through picturesque coastal landscapes. The narrow-gauge railway route includes numerous architectural monuments, such as the lighthouse in Niechorze, the ruins of a medieval church on a cliff, the historic neo-Gothic church and palace complex in Trzęsacz, the neo-Gothic palace in Dreżewo, and the late 18th-century manor house in Rybokarty. Traveling by the Seaside Narrow-Gauge Railway through the Rewal commune also offers access to many interesting tourist attractions.

Pumpkin is the queen of autumn

Morzyczyn. The West Pomeranian Village Fair "Golden Pumpkin" will take place on September 20 and 21 in Morzyczyn nad Miedwiem. It is scheduled to begin on Saturday at 10 a.m. Folk groups will perform at 12:20 p.m. Entries for the competitions will be accepted on Sunday morning, with the results scheduled for 4 p.m. Folklore will once again be performed on stage, and the organizers will be honored by the Pyrzyce Song and Dance Ensemble.

Fun among the neighbors

Stargard. The Potrzebny Dom Association invites everyone to join the fun at the Lotnisko Housing Estate. A Neighbor's Day celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th. The event begins at 12 noon.

– As always, we will meet at the parking lot on J. Śniadeckiego Street – invites the Potrzebny Dom association, which is organizing Neighbor Day for the 16th time.

There's something for everyone at the festival. This year's theme is football. Young players from Kluczevia will be among the participants. The tournament begins at 10 a.m. There will also be great music, competitions with prizes, themed stalls, and games for both kids and adults.
