After doctors misdiagnosed her, she didn't get to say goodbye to her child. The hospital will pay for the mother's pain

The approximately one-year-old daughter of the woman whose case was brought to the attention of the Lublin court died of an aggressively growing and – according to available clinical tests – incurable brain tumor. During the trial, it was confirmed that the child could not be cured – only her life could be extended.

In the months leading up to the tragedy, the girl’s mother had noticed disturbing, recurring symptoms in her, such as vomiting and hitting her head. However, the facility she sought a diagnosis from – and later sued – reassured her that there was nothing wrong with her child. Each time, it was determined that she was suffering from teething, weak immunity, a virus.
