Arrests at Confederation pickets. Police release details

Confederation action across the country. Protests against immigration.

Over 4,000 police officers secured the Confederation's pickets under the slogan "Stop Immigration!". A total of 110 rallies were held across the country. Despite several incidents, the events proceeded without any major disruptions, police reported. Seven people were detained, and 117 offenses were recorded. Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak thanked the services on social media.

On Saturday, in 80 cities – including Warsaw, Krakow, Wrocław, Łódź, Poznań, Gdańsk, Białystok, and Lublin – Confederation pickets took place at 12:00 noon under the slogan "Stop Immigration!" Counter-demonstrations organized by left-wing groups also took place in many cities.

According to a police statement published on social media, a total of 110 gatherings were held across the country on Saturday, and over 4,200 police officers were deployed.

In total, 12 incidents were recorded "which will be assessed for criminal elements", 117 offences, as well as several incidents recorded on social media, which are currently being analysed.

Seven people were also detained, including for drug offences, violations of aviation law and disturbing public order.

"We did everything to ensure that this day passed peacefully and that everyone could exercise their constitutional right to express their views ," the police said in a statement, adding that "despite several incidents, the gatherings took place safely and without any major disruptions."

Minister of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak thanked the services on social media.

"Thank you to the police officers for their commitment and professionalism!" he wrote.
