County councilors unanimously vote of confidence and discharge

Before making this crucial decision, the councilors listened to a report on the board's activities presented by Starost Bożena Ryczan and a summary of the over 200-page report on the state of Przemyśl County for the previous year, prepared by County Secretary Witold Szpytman. They then granted the Przemyśl County Board a vote of confidence and reviewed the financial report on the implementation of the budget for the previous year, presented by Treasurer Agnieszka Paryga, assessing it as accurate, as confirmed by the positive opinion of the Regional Chamber of Audit and the County Council Audit Committee. During the discussion, Deputy Chairman of the County Council Jan Pączek noted that the planned deficit had been significantly reduced, and the surplus of over PLN 20 million, which the previous board left to the current one at the end of 2023, had been maintained, which is worth emphasizing. The surplus left in reserve can be used as an own contribution to other investments. As he noted, as much as PLN 80 million, or about 55%, of budget expenditure for 2024 are capital expenditures, which is rare even on a national scale.
