The missing man was hypothermic but conscious and was handed over to the care of paramedics. The outside temperature was several degrees below zero, which could have posed a threat to his health.
Police officers from Sokółka received information about the disappearance of a 45-year-old resident of the Kuźnica commune. The man got out of the car after an argument with his brother and headed towards the forest. The person reporting the incident tried to find his brother on his own, but without success. The low temperature and late hour prompted him to notify the services.
After receiving the report, the police immediately began a search operation. A handler with a patrol and tracking dog, Demon, joined the operation. The dog quickly picked up the scent and after about two kilometers, the officers found the missing man lying in the forest.
Safe end to searchThe man was hypothermic but conscious. He was handed over to the care of paramedics. Thanks to the police's quick response, he was found within an hour of the report, which prevented serious health consequences.
