Every day, clients come to the Social Insurance Institution with questions about the conditions that must be met to receive a widow's pension. That is why ZUS is once again launching telephone on-call hours, during which you will be able to dispel your doubts. Today, Monday - June 9, ZUS experts will be on-call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. In addition, experts will answer questions about retirement.

During the service on 9 June, you can get information on the rules for granting a widow's pension, who is entitled to it, what conditions must be met and when and how to submit an application. From 10 am to 12 pm, ZUS experts will answer all questions in this regard at 693 629 041. The next service will be in a week, on 16 June, from 10 am to 12 pm (phone no. 693 629 041).

As Wojciech Dyląg, the spokesman for ZUS in Podkarpacie, reminds, the right to a family pension, including one's own benefit (i.e. a widow's pension), for applications submitted by 31 July this year will be available from July this year. In the case of applications submitted from 1 August, the right to receive the benefit will apply from the month of submitting the application. This means that if someone submits an application on 15 August and meets the conditions for a widow's pension, the right to receive the benefit will be available from August.
