It was Saturday, May 17, in the afternoon, when the alarm sounded at the Tarnobrzeg rescue center. The call sounded dramatic. It was about children.
Drama in Durdy. Buggy accident. Children injuredIt turned out that in the town of Durdy there was an accident involving a buggy type vehicle, in which three children were riding. They were girls aged 9 to 13. Suddenly the car overturned. Rescuers were immediately called to the scene. All the children were injured. One of the girls was transported to the hospital in Rzeszów by the LPR helicopter. The 13-year-old has serious injuries.
Her pain is hard to imagine. Two years ago she lost her son. Now she has suffered another tragedy.
The report of the accident in Durdy was sent to the rescue notification system at approximately 4:50 p.m.

– informed Senior Captain Norbert Strojnowski, press officer of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Tarnobrzeg.
Firefighters from the Durda Volunteer Fire Department and the State Fire Service from Nowa Dęba arrived at the scene and secured the scene and provided aid to one of the injured girls. When the paramedics determined that the injuries to the oldest of the injured were very serious, the firefighters prepared a landing strip for the Air Ambulance helicopter called to the scene.

– Two girls, the younger ones, were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Tarnobrzeg, and the third one was taken to the hospital by the LPR helicopter – adds the spokesman for the Tarnobrzeg firefighters.
