He fell asleep in the car. He ended up in jail

Two young people fell asleep in a car parked on one of Szymanów's streets. A morning police patrol discovered that one of them was wanted and should have been arrested long ago.

On Wednesday morning, June 18, just after eight o'clock, the officer on duty at the District Police Headquarters in Trzebnica received an unusual report. The residents of Szymanów were alarmed by the sight of an Audi parked on one of the streets - two people were sleeping inside.

A patrol from the Road Traffic Department was sent to the scene. The police first made sure that none of the people in the vehicle were in danger. However, it quickly became clear that this morning nap could have serious consequences.

During a routine background check, officers determined that one of the men – a 20-year-old from Wrocław County – was wanted. The District Prosecutor's Office in Włocławek issued an order to determine his whereabouts, and additionally the District Court of Wrocław-Śródmieście issued an order to bring him to the detention center.

The young man was detained and taken to the Trzebnica police station, where the police prepared the necessary documentation. The 20-year-old was then taken to the Wrocław Detention Center, where he will serve his six-month prison sentence. Photo: KPP in Trzebnica.
