New playground and modernization of Orlik

A modern playground will be built at the Primary School in Żmigród and the multi-purpose sports field will be renovated.

On Wednesday, May 7, the Municipality of Żmigród signed an agreement for the modernization of the Moje Boiska – Orlik 2012 sports complex and the construction of a playground for physical fitness at the Primary School in Żmigród, at ul. Sienkiewicza 6. The work will be carried out by the company Budmel – Korty, Boiska Sportowe Tomasz Molus from Trzebnica. The value of the entire project is PLN 448,950. Half of this amount - PLN 226,900 comes from funding granted by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism under the Sports Complex Modernization Program "Orlik" 2024.

The scope of the investment will include a thorough renovation of the multi-purpose pitch. The works include, among others: cleaning the existing surface and making a new wear layer, replacing ball catchers, installing 12 energy-saving LED lamps, repairing and supplementing parts of the fence.

The new playground, which will be built at the school, will be designed to develop the physical fitness of children and young people. It will include two trampolines built into the ground, a set for coordination exercises, a rope pyramid, various types of balance beams, ladders, jumpers and hurdles for jumping. There will also be elements of small architecture, such as benches, a picnic table, waste bins and an information board with regulations.

The works are scheduled to begin immediately after the end of the school year. The entire project will take a maximum of five months from the moment the contract is signed.
