Police Day: promotions, awards, medals

On Monday, July 14, a ceremony was held in the conference room of the District Office in Trzebnica to mark the upcoming 106th anniversary of the establishment of the State Police, celebrated throughout the country on July 24.

During the event, special attention was given to female officers – this year marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Women's Police. Currently, the District Police Headquarters in Trzebnica employs 34 female officers and 19 women in civilian positions.

During the ceremony, police officers and civilian employees were recognized, and state and union decorations were presented. The bronze "Meritorious Police Officer" medal was awarded to Sergeant Sebastian Dudek, by decision of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration. The 35th Anniversary Cross of the Independent Self-Governing Police Trade Union was awarded to ten officers from the District Police Headquarters: Chief Commander Agnieszka Połczyk, Sergeant Monika Gnyszka, Subcommander Oskar Janiszewski, Junior Sergeant Damian Klonowski, Sergeant Wojciech Modliborski, Sergeant Anna Ojak, Sergeant Renata Starościak, Sergeant Paweł Włodyka, Sergeant Łukasz Zemboldt.

Medals from the same association were also awarded to representatives of local governments and institutions cooperating with the Trzebnica Police Headquarters. These included the mayors, the district governor, the forest district inspectors from Oborniki Śląskie and Żmigród, Senior Brigadier Rafał Przybylok, Commander of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Trzebnica, and Paweł Wapiński, a specialist from the Support Team of the District Police Headquarters in Trzebnica.

Civilian employees Elżbieta Migdał, Kaja Michalak, and Karolina Cirka-Szylar received letters of commendation for their professionalism and daily work. They were presented by District Police Commander Daniel Panek, along with First Deputy Provincial Police Commander Inspector Norbert Kurenda.

There were also gestures of support from local governments. Mayors of individual district municipalities and the county office funded awards for officers from local police stations. On the occasion of this year's Police Day, Małgorzata Matusiak funded awards for officers from the Trzebnica County Police Headquarters: Officer Monika Gnyszka and Officer Bogdan Rzepka.

The Mayor of the Trzebnica Commune, Marek Długozima, funded awards for police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Trzebnica: Staff Sergeant Aneta Izydorczyk and Senior Constable Kamil Parkitny.

The Mayor of the Oborniki Śląskie Commune, Arkadiusz Poprawa, funded awards for police officers from the Police Station in Oborniki Śląskie: Senior Officer Maciej Kubicki and Junior Officer Jakub Maj.

The Mayor of the Żmigród Commune, Robert Lewandowski, funded awards for police officers from the Żmigród Police Station: cadet Łukasz Kudła and staff sergeant Franciszek Rześka.

The Mayor of the Prusice Commune, Igor Bandrowicz, funded awards for police officers from the Prusice Police Station: cadet Tomasz Chojniak, cadet Bartosz Hołys and cadet Marta Wojda.

The Mayor of the Zawonia Commune, Agnieszka Wersta, sponsored an award for Junior Sergeant Damian Klonowski, a police officer from the Trzebnica County Police Headquarters.
