Powder and blue crystals in a teenager's room

Powder and blue crystals in a teenager's room

A suspected drug bust led Żmigród police officers to an apartment in the commune. Their suspicions proved accurate.

Officers from the Żmigród Police Station, acting on information obtained, intervened at a residence in the commune. There was a suspicion that narcotics might be present there.

On Tuesday, July 22, police knocked on the door of the indicated premises. While searching the room of a 16-year-old resident of our district, they found a metal can containing four string bags containing various substances – dried herbs, white powder, and blue crystals.

Initial analysis using drug test kits confirmed that the seized substances were marijuana, amphetamine, and MDMA. The teenager was detained and transported to a police station. The case is being investigated under the Drug Prevention Act. The Family and Minors Division of the District Court in Trzebnica will decide the 16-year-old's fate.
