Sails 2025. Changes in traffic organization are coming

The first streets in the city will be closed this coming night (August 12-13). This is due to the Sails 2025 event, which is kicking off in Szczecin. Further changes to traffic management are expected in the coming days, until August 19. The temporary implementation has been divided into three stages.

Traffic organization

Stage 1 will be introduced on August 13 (Wednesday) from 00:01 and will last until August 14, 2025, 00:01. As part of this stage, Wendy/Nad Duńczycą Street and Zbożowa Street from the intersection with Spichrzowa Street will be closed to traffic, and the following streets will be completely closed: Komandorska Street, Małopolska Street on the section from Jarowita Street to Komandoska Street, Wały Chrobrego Street, Wawelska Street on the section from Wały Chrobrego Street to Jarowita Street, Admiralska Street.

Stage 2 will be introduced on August 14 (Thursday) at 00:01 to August 18 at 5:00. During this stage, Wendy and Zbożowa streets will be closed to traffic, and the following streets will be completely closed: Spichrzowa, Władysława IV to the intersection with Św. Floriana Street, Celna, Komandorska, Małopolska from Jarowita Street to Komandorska Street, Wały Chrobrego, Wawelska from Jarowita Street to ul. Wały Chrobrego, Admiralska, Zygmunta Starygo (on the section from Wały Chrobrego Street to Jarowita Street, on the section from Jarowita Street to Henryka Pobożnego Street, traffic will be limited, only vehicles with passes will be possible. On the remaining section, i.e. from Starzyńskiego Street to Henryka Pobożnego Street, one-way traffic will be introduced), Szczerbcowa (on the section from Wały Chrobrego Street to Jarowita Street, on the section from Jarowita Street to Henryka Pobożnego Street, traffic will be limited. Only vehicles with passes will be possible. On the remaining section, i.e. from Henryka Pobożnego Street to Starzyńskiego Street, one-way traffic will be introduced), Jarowita (on the section from Zygmunta Starego Street to Szczerbcowa Street, on the remaining section, traffic will be limited. Only vehicles with passes will be possible), Henryka Pobożnego (on the section from Zygmunta Starego to Szczerbcowa Street. One-way traffic will be introduced on the section from Wawelska Street to Szczerbcowa Street), Jana z Kolna (on the section from the entrance slip road of Trasa Zamkowa from the side of the Długi Bridge to the intersection with Kapitańska Street), Storrady, the entrance and exit slip road of Trasa Zamkowa towards Dubois Street and the designation of a taxi rank on Zygmunta Starego Street on the section from Starzyńskiego Street to Matejki Street; both bus stops in the area of Admiralska Street will also be closed.

Stage 3 will be introduced on August 18 (Monday) from 5:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 19, 5:00 a.m. During this stage, Wendy/Nad Duńczycą Street and Zbożowa Street from the intersection with Spichrzowa Street will be closed to traffic, and the following streets will be completely closed: Komandorska, Małopolska on the section from Jarowita Street to Komandoska Street, Wały Chrobrego, Wawelska on the section from Wały Chrobrego Street to Jarowita Street, Admiralska, Henryka Pobożnego on the section from Zygmunta Starego Street to Szczerbcowa Street.

Changes in public transport

From Wednesday, August 13th to Monday, August 18th, changes will be introduced in the operation of public transport.

On the nights of August 13/14–17/18, 2025, night line 526 will run on a detour towards Police: from the "Wyszyńskiego" stop via Nabrzeże Wieleckie – the Zamkowa Trasa connector – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Matejki Street – Malczewskiego Street – Parkowa Street – Dubois Street to the "Dubois" stop and then continue along its route, according to the normal timetable; towards the Main Railway Station: from the "Dubois" stop via Dubois Street – Parkowa Street – Malczewskiego Street – Matejki Street – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Żołnierza Polskiego Square – Farna Street – Sołtysia Street – Wyszyńskiego Street to the "Wyszyńskiego" stop and then continue along its route, according to the normal timetable. The "Dubois" stop will be located on Dubois Street (shared with line 525, no. 13332).

The “Wały Chrobrego” and “Teatr Polski” stops will not be served.

Buses on line 70 from the "Filharmonia" stop will run via Matejki – Hołdu Pruskiego Square (turn at the intersection with Małopolska Street) – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Zygmunt Stary Street – Starzyńskiego Street – Małopolska Street – Żołnierza Polskiego Square – Farna Street – Sołtysia Street – Wyszyńskiego Street to the "Wyszyńskiego" stop and continue unchanged. The "Starzyńskiego" stop will be moved to the opposite side of the street (no. 13911). The "Teatr Współczesny" and "Jarowita" stops will not be served.

Buses on route 90 from the "Wyszyńskiego" stop will run via the Wieleckie Embankment – the connecting route of the Castle Route – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Zygmunt Stary – Starzyńskiego – Małopolska Street (entrance to the tracks) to the "Filharmonia" stop and continue unchanged. The "Admiralska" and "Urząd Wojewódzki" stops will not be served.

From August 14–17, tram line 6 will run on the Pomorzany – Wyszyńskiego Square – Brama Portowa Square – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Matejki – Dubois – Gocław route, bypassing Jana z Kolna Street, with no change in service frequency. Departures and arrivals of line 8 on the Golęcin depot ↔ Gumieńce route will be via Rodła Square and Matejki Street, bypassing Jana z Kolna Street.

On the nights of 15/16–16/17.08, night lines 521, 523, 524, 525, 526, 527, 528 and 530 will additionally be operated with MEGA articulated rolling stock.

On August 15th, all daytime lines – except line 62 – will operate on Saturday timetables. Line 62 will not operate that day. Nighttime service will continue as usual, i.e., according to the timetable valid for the night from Friday to Saturday.

On August 15–16, an additional bus route, 859, will be launched, running between Plac Rodła and Szosa Polska (on the Plac Rodła–Zagórskiego section along route 107 and on to the “Szosa Polska” terminus). Services will run from 7–11 p.m. to 11 p.m. every 20 minutes.

From August 15th to 17th, buses of lines 61 and 87 will run from 12:00 between the stops "SKM Dworzec Główny (Owocowa)" and "Plac Zwycięstwa" via Nabrzeże Wieleckie and Wyszyńskiego Streets. All stops along the route will be served (the "Wyszyńskiego" stop is located on the tracks, no. 10915). The stops "Plac Tobrucki" and "Brama Portowa" (near Posejdonie, no. 10832) will not be served. The "Hangarowa" stop is on request in both directions for tram lines 2, 7 and 8 from 12:00 until the end of tram service.

On August 15–16, additional services will be provided - the service of tram lines 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 will be extended until midnight, with a frequency of approximately every 30 minutes for lines 2, 6, 7, 8; approximately every 20 minutes for line 3 and every 15 minutes for line 4.

Additional services will be launched between 11 p.m. and midnight for bus lines: 68, 75, 87, 107, 241, 811, A, B, C and additional services between 11 p.m. and midnight for bus lines: 64, 73, 79, 84, 96.

On August 15, 16, and 17, 2025, you will also be able to explore Szczecin by historic tram. Tram line 0, operated by the Tramwaje Szczecińskie company with historic rolling stock, will operate on these dates. The tourist fare applies on line 0 – a standard ticket costs PLN 5, and a concession ticket costs PLN 3.70. Tickets will be sold directly on board the vehicles, from the conductors. Line route: Potulicka – Narutowicza – 3 Maja – Niepodległości Avenue – Brama Portowa Square – Niepodległości Avenue – Żołnierza Polskiej – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Matejki – Malczewskiego – Parkowa – Dubois – Firlik – Antosiewicza – Nocznickiego – Firlik – Dubois – Parkowa – Malczewskiego – Matejki – Hołdu Pruskiego Square – Żołnierza Polskiej – Brama Portowa Square – Victory Square – Krzywousty – Kosciuszki Square – Krzywousty – Bohaterów Warszawy Avenue – Wawrzyniaka – Wojska Polskiej Avenue – Szarych Szeregi Square – Piłsudskiego – Odrodzenia Square – Piłsudskiego – Grunwaldzki Square – Piłsudskiego – Rodło Square – Wyzwolenia Avenue – Żołnierza Polskiej – Niepodległości Avenue – Brama Portowa Square – Niepodległości Avenue – 3 Maja – Narutowicza – Potulicka.

From August 15–17, 2025, it will not be possible to reach Łasztownia by bus lines 198 and 199. These lines will not run on these days.
