Scandal after Nawrocki's words about Ukrainians. "Russian footsoldier transmits"

The statement of the PiS candidate caused an avalanche of comments. "A drowning man clutches at straws", "A Russian sockliner is giving" - write politicians of the ruling coalition.

- Indeed, I have such signals that citizens who came here from Ukraine are causing problems in queues to hospitals and clinics - said in Kłobuck the presidential candidate supported by Law and Justice.

Karol Nawrocki thus referred to the words of his rival from the Confederation. Sławomir Mentzen had previously said that Ukrainians "clog the queues for doctors".

- I am of the opinion that Ukrainians should not live better in Poland than Poles . I am Polish, I have Polish obligations and I will perform my presidency on behalf of Poles - declared the head of the IPN, a presidential candidate, who continues his tour of the Częstochowa region.

Nawrocki's statement triggered an avalanche of comments on social media.

Michał Szczerba , MEP of the Civic Coalition wrote: "A drowning man is grasping at straws. Lies and Lavrov!"

"The Russian footsucker is on! What problems? That they get sick? How dare they! Out of gratitude for the Poles, they should kill bacteria and viruses with their bare hands!" wrote Left MP Anna Maria Żukowska .

KO MEP Krzysztof Brejza added: "And something about Putin, the problems that the Bolsheviks 'cause' on Ukrainian soil? No, because it's 'Europe's' fault? Russian conservatives like it."

PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek defended Nawrocki's words.

During his speech in Kłobuck, Nawrocki also referred to the loud announcements made by his rival from the Confederation.

- Sławomir Mentzen talks a lot about lowering taxes, he hasn't lowered any yet. So it seems to me that when I become the president of the Republic of Poland, I will gladly invite Sławomir Mentzen to jointly lower taxes in Poland - announced the PiS candidate.

Nawrocki also recalled the brutal crime that took place in Kłobuck in mid-February - the murder of the local parish priest .

- I know how deeply you experienced the recent tragedy in February and I hope that we will not allow the brutal, radical, leftist ideology that is present in Poland in the 21st century to also gain the office of the President of the Republic of Poland. Because my main opponent, Donald Tusk's deputy Rafał Trzaskowski, is such a radical leftist political activist - said the PiS candidate.

In connection with the murder of Father Grzegorz , the parish priest of Our Lady of Fatima in Kłobuck, the police have detained a 52-year-old former policeman . The man has been charged with two counts - robbery and murder - and has pleaded guilty. Unofficially, it is said that the motive for the crime could have been robbery, but investigators do not rule out "personal conflicts" between the parish priest and the detained Tomasz J.

After the tragedy, the spokesman for the Częstochowa Archdiocese, Fr. Mariusz Bakalarz, appealed not to use the event for "political fights" . - Let's wait patiently for the findings. I would like to ask on behalf of the family and the archdiocese not to use this death for any fights, including political ones - he said in an interview with local Radio Fiat.
