Łukasz Brządkowski has been the mayor of Tczew since May 2024. He was previously a councilor. In the second round of elections, he defeated the long-time mayor of this city, Mirosław Pobłocki. He was a candidate of the Samorząd OdNowa association.
He has already settled in at the city hall. Now it turns out that someone was supposed to be spying on the president for half a year. A camera of strange origin was found in front of the secretariat. It recorded not only images, but also sound. The problem is that unauthorized persons allegedly had access to the data recorded by it.

The matter is serious. The president decided to report it to the prosecutor's office. Such a notification was filed on Monday, February 24, and Łukasz Brządkowski informed about everything on his social media.
As the mayor of the city of Tczew, I have decided to submit a notification to the prosecutor's office about the suspicion of committing a crime consisting in unlawfully obtaining access to video and audio recordings on the premises of the city office in the period from April 12 to October 7, 2024.

During the analysis of the functioning of the monitoring system at the City Hall, it was revealed that an internal camera with the ability to record sound was installed on the first floor of the building, in front of the President's secretariat. This device was not in the official monitoring system, and only certain people had access to it. The camera operated continuously, overwriting the recording every three days, which means that it was possible to illegally obtain recordings that third parties should not have access to.

The purchase was financed from public funds, and the decision to implement it was made in a way that raised concerns - wrote the president of Tczew.
