In January, according to the "Retail Price Index" study, the average price of an egg in stores was PLN 0.98 and was 11.3 percent higher than a year ago. Empty shelves can be seen in retail chains - in Biedronka, Lidl or Carrefour stores there are much fewer eggs on the shelves than usual. You can even come across empty shelves.
