The Ladies and Hussars Association wins first prize

The competition was organized by the Questing Foundation. For the third year in a row, it invited interested entities from across Poland to submit quest ideas for their towns.

The goal was to create a compelling storytelling concept with local character, a compelling protagonist, and enough potential to engage locals and tourists. This is precisely what the Damy i Hussars Association decided to present.

The quest, awarded first place and receiving the most votes, will focus on promoting Przemyśl's cultural heritage, a popular tourist destination. The field trip will involve exploring and discovering places in the city (mostly historic) associated with historical events. It will be enriched by photographs featuring people dressed in period costumes. To enhance the tourist experience, the association will recreate historical figures, inspired by Maria Dąbrowska's literary work "Nights and Days," thus depicting the period from the January Uprising (1863) to World War I (1914), significantly enhancing the historical context of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The idea of the Ladies and Hussars Association – as the winning one – will have the opportunity to come to fruition. Winning institutions and associations can expect full implementation of the project, including concept development, script writing, field testing, recording, and publication.

"This year, we're giving voice to their heroes. Literally," she added. This means that each winning route will be narrated by a professional narrator and made available in the "Questing - field games" mobile application.
