The Podkarpackie police have made a preliminary summary of the long weekend.

– There were more police patrols on the roads, and in particularly dangerous places, speed checks were carried out in cascades. (…) Among others, police motorcyclists, drones, police cars equipped with video recorders were deployed to the service, and officers also used hand-held speed meters.
– the Subcarpathian Police reported.
Unfortunately, despite this, the statistics of the long June weekend are worrying. Since Wednesday, there have been 18 accidents on the roads of the Podkarpackie province, in which 21 people were injured and 1 person died. The police have also detained as many as 48 drunk drivers.
A tragic accident in which one person died occurred on Thursday after 11 a.m. in Wola Michowa, in the Sanok district. As we read in the police report: "initial findings indicate that the driver of the Volkswagen, a 37-year-old resident of the Lubin district, collided with a Kawasaki motorcycle. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, the life of the 34-year-old motorcyclist could not be saved"
