Tragedy at school. Nine-year-old dies

A nine-year-old girl died after choking on a candy during classes at school - Senior Superintendent Ewa Czyż told polsatnews.pl. The tragedy occurred in a non-public facility in Chełm.

A dramatic situation took place in one of the non-public special schools in Chełm . As Senior Commissioner Ewa Czyż informed polsatnews.pl, the incident occurred at around 11:30.

- During a lesson, the girl took a piece of candy into her mouth and suddenly started choking. The situation developed rapidly. Teachers rushed to help, and emergency services were called - said a spokeswoman for the Chełm police.

Sub-inspector Kamil Karbowniczek from the Lublin police press team told polsatnews.pl that resuscitation was performed at the scene, after which the child was taken to hospital .
