Where are the cats? They've been trapping animals that had owners, and residents want their furry companions back.

On Friday evening, young people showed up at one of Trzebnica's housing estates on Kościelna Street. They introduced themselves as volunteers and were catching cats. The volunteer tried to explain the situation.

Now residents are complaining that their feline friends have gone missing. The kittens weren't strays; they had caregivers, but, as cats do, they liked to go out and explore the local paths and lawns.

Residents want their feline companions back, but they don't know who to contact to claim their return. No one in Trzebnica knows who captured them or where they are (if they're even alive). One of the "volunteers" provided a phone number, but no one answers the phone – it's a mailbox.

Who will help the residents?

The woman who coordinated the kittens' capture contacted our editorial team. She explained that she did so to save the animals. She is known in our district for helping cats. We hope that the volunteer and the cats' caregivers will be able to reach a compromise.

We also remind you that in our country, there is no ban on letting cats out of the house. Just because they hang around a certain place doesn't mean they're homeless. They can have a home, and both the cat's right to such a life and their right to property should be respected.
