Will Zelensky fly to Alaska? The White House is considering a sensational scenario.

A White House official said the US president is ready to host a three-way summit in Alaska with the participation of Volodymyr Zelensky, Reuters reported. Preparations are currently underway for a meeting solely between Trump and Putin at the Russian leader's request. Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy Mykola Kniazhitskyi spoke on Polsat News about the talks and their possible outcomes.

On Friday, the US president announced that he would meet with Putin on Friday , August 15, in Alaska . This will be the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since Trump began his second term. On Saturday, US broadcasters CBS News and NBC News reported that the White House did not rule out the possibility of Zelensky also participating in the Alaska summit in an unspecified manner.

CNN notes that Kyiv and its European allies reacted with horror to the ideas of Trump envoy Steve Witkoff that Ukraine should give Russia the areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions not controlled by Moscow in exchange for a ceasefire.

Mykola Kniazhitsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine , spoke about the meeting and its possible consequences on Polsat News.

"I don't know if Zelensky is aware of all of Trump's proposals," he added. " If an agreement is reached without Ukraine, it will be reminiscent of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact (the agreement between Russia and Germany that led to the division of Polish lands in 1939 - ed.)," added the Ukrainian politician.

"The Ukrainian army is stationed in Kramatorsk in the Donetsk Oblast. We can't give this city up. It's defending the road to Kyiv, and besides, it's against our constitution ," Kniażycki said. "It would look like capitulation," he said.

The Ukrainian MP said that " Kiev is ready for peace, but not to be occupied ." "After some time, Russia will attack again," he added.

"I don't believe anything groundbreaking will happen during the meeting in Alaska . It seems to me that it is not well prepared," the politician said. He emphasized that such a meeting is good for Russia.
