Withholding tax – finally, there are explanations from the Minister of Finance

Companies waited six years for the official position of the Minister of Finance on the withholding tax, which would protect those who comply with it (the first draft of explanations appeared already in 2019).

"During this time, not only were regulations changing, but the tax authorities' stance became significantly more stringent, initiating increasingly frequent audits and issuing unfavorable tax rulings. Court rulings also sparked considerable controversy. It's safe to say that businesses were operating in a state of constant uncertainty. It's good that the Minister of Finance has finally published his official position," emphasizes Magdalena Balcerzak-Klich, manager at Crido.
