Preparations for the next PRECOP conference are in full swing. Work on the White Paper is underway

- Preparations have begun for the fourth edition of PRECOP, the event preceding the COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil.
- The agenda will include the most important topics for climate, energy, green transformation and sustainable development.
- A White Paper will also be presented, which will be a recommendation to the government.
- PRECOP, organized by UN GCNP and the PTWP Group, will take place on October 1-2, 2025 at the MCK in Katowice.
Intensive preparations for the next, fourth edition of the PRECOP conference in Katowice have begun. This will be an event preceding and preparing participants for the COP30 Climate Summit.
This year’s UN Climate Change Conference will be held on 10-11 November 2025 in the Brazilian city of Belem.
The PRECOP agenda will include the most important topics related to climate, but also energy, green transformation, sustainable development and its impact on the economy, as well as ESG reporting.
PRECOP provides a unique opportunity to exchange opinions and views on climateThe event is organized by United Nations Global Compact Network Poland - the Polish office of the largest global UN initiative supporting cooperation with businesses supporting sustainable global development.
The second partner is the PTWP Group, which organises the European Economic Congress in Katowice and many other conferences and special events.
As every year, the group of participants, experts and panelists will be very broadly represented. PRECOP provides a unique opportunity for the exchange of views between business and representatives of non-governmental organizations, especially those dealing with environmental protection.
The White Paper will be presented during PRECOPThe White Paper will also be presented during the conference. The Business Council meeting, dedicated to recommendations for the government at COP30, which will be held in Brazil this year, took place in April during EEC25.
We are preparing the ground for dialogue between business and government. We hope that this will improve transparency, inclusiveness and correct interpretation of the law - Kamil Wyszkowski, National Representative and Executive Director of UN GCNP, comments on the idea of work on the White Paper.
This year, the experts’ work will focus on the barriers related to the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), i.e. sustainability reporting.
Other topics that will be analysed include extended producer responsibility, EU taxonomy and energy efficiency of buildings.
All these studies and analyses will be forwarded to Polish negotiators who will participate in the COP30 talks in Brazil.
