They will pay 20 PLN per person for waste disposal. This is one of the lowest rates in Poland.

- Another municipality is raising fees for waste collection and management.
- The municipal council has just adopted a resolution increasing the rate to PLN 20 per person.
- However, this is still very little, especially if you remember that in many municipalities the fee is close to PLN 50.
The waste collection fee in the Abramów commune is PLN 14 per person. Even the increased fee for those caught not sorting waste seems low at PLN 42.
Fees, however, will change. The municipal council just passed a resolution raising the fee to 20 PLN per person . This is still very little, especially considering that in many municipalities the fee is close to 50 PLN. It's hardly surprising, however, that the municipality is subsidizing waste management. The amount it will have to contribute after the increase has not yet been calculated.
The new rate will take effect from October.
The low rate, however, does not change the fact that residents - as in many municipalities - ignore the segregation obligations.
According to information recently provided by the Municipal Economy Company in Adamów, the residents of the commune use waste containers contrary to their intended purpose, i.e. by collecting all waste in them, i.e. the waste that should be placed in bags intended for segregation or in home composters, which is a prohibited practice.
- the commune informed.
The local government adds that residents who fail to comply with the specified rules for segregating municipal waste and thus exceed the permissible level of mixed waste storage at the landfill will be fined by the municipality, which may result in a future increase in fees for the collection and management of municipal waste.
