"The government is not eager to bring it out in the campaign before the second round of the presidential elections. The bill should see the light of day in a month or a month and a half," we read.

Money.pl points out that in the maximum variant , parents of 64,000 children could lose the benefit, and the savings would amount to approximately PLN 600 million.

Other estimates suggested lower costs of around PLN 150 million per year. As we hear from a person familiar with the work on the project, if we assume that the criteria of the act would exclude around 14 thousand parents from applying for the benefit, the annual budget profits would amount to PLN 200 million - the portal reports.

Let us recall that on June 1, 2025, the rules for granting 800 plus to children from Ukraine will change . This is all due to the fact that last year a condition was added to the regulations on 800 plus, according to which only those Ukrainian parents whose children attend school can receive the benefit.

Applications for 800 plus for the new period

On February 1, applications for the "Family 800 plus" program began to be accepted. The new benefit period will begin on June 1 and will last until the end of May of the following year. What is worth remembering?

Submitting an application by 30 April will ensure continued benefit payment.
In the case of applications submitted between 1 May and 31 May, the determination of entitlement and payment of the benefit granted for June and July will take place no later than 31 July.
If a person applying for the child benefit submits an application between 1 June and 30 June, the determination and payment of the benefit granted for June, July and August will take place no later than 31 August.
If a person submits an application at a later date, i.e. after 30 June, the right to the child benefit will be established and the benefit will be paid from the month of submission of the application.
