As reported by "Super Express," one of Poland's most popular spa resorts, Krynica-Zdrój, experienced a disappointing experience, shared by a spa patient on a Facebook group dedicated to spas. Her stay, which she claimed would be a moment of respite, turned out to be an ordeal, primarily due to the disappointing accommodations and quality of the meals.
Despite praise for the professional treatment facilities, rehabilitation and well-run exercise classes, the woman expressed negative feelings about the standards of accommodation.
She complained that upon arrival, she had to wait six hours for a room that was only available from 2:00 PM. It's worth noting that rooms available from 2:00 PM are standard in hotels, guesthouses, and spas.
The disappointed patient further noted that the resort only offers double rooms for couples, while the triple and quadruple rooms are converted from smaller rooms, often without wardrobes, only drawers under the bed. Some of them lacked sunlight or balconies, and one room on the eighth floor had only a tiny window – a vent.
Disappointed with the food at the sanatorium in Krynica-ZdrójAnother major disappointment was the food, which the patient described as awful. She disliked the daily serving of cottage cheese, and the portions and side dishes were very minimal and, she claimed, mostly tasteless. For example, the lettuce for dinner was served in leaf form on a communal plate with only one teaspoon of sour cream. According to the patient, the cook was unsuitable for cooking in a communal setting.
The patient's post generated enormous interest, with hundreds of comments appearing in just two days . Internet users were divided into two camps. Some agreed with the patient, comparing the standards in some sanatoriums to "survival camps" and complaining about the poor quality of food and lack of comfort. Others defended the facility for the kindness of the staff and the effectiveness of the treatments.
