They took money from the KPO. Now artificial intelligence from the ministry is mandatory.

Until the end of August 8th this year, technology companies can submit a preliminary quote for the delivery, implementation, and maintenance of software components for the so-called Intelligent Services Platform and artificial intelligence models as part of the "e-Health KPO" project.
The e-Health Center , which will manage PUI, explains that this is a project that will enable the introduction of artificial intelligence tools to medical facilities across the country.
Initially, PUI is intended to provide physicians with access to AI-powered tools for analysis purposes:
- X-ray images (X-rays),
- computed tomography (CT),
- magnetic resonance imaging (MR).
This will make it possible to detect changes:
- lung cancer and pulmonary embolism pathological findings in chest X-ray,
- breast cancer,
- ischemic and hemorrhagic lesions in brain imaging studies, including differentiation of types of hemorrhagic lesions
- in the musculoskeletal system (e.g. fractures).
How will this work? In short, the facility will initiate a request for analysis of an imaging study through its domain-specific system. The request will be transmitted via an integration interface, which will send images and clinical metadata, along with an indication of the model that will analyze the study (via the UDC code – Digital Diagnostics Services).
The Intelligent Services Platform will receive the request along with the associated binary data (e.g., in the popular DICOM format) and metadata. It will then validate the request technically and substantively to ensure the data is complete and accurate.
The information will be saved in a temporary repository, pseudonymized and then placed in a queue waiting for analysis (taking into account parameters such as the urgency of the study and its type).
After analysis, personal data will be restored to the documents, the package will be verified for accuracy, and the facility will be notified that the result is ready for collection. Interestingly, the fully anonymized data will be transferred to a long-term research data repository.
It is worth noting that the implementation of PUI integration will be mandatory for all hospitals that have applied for funds from the National Reconstruction Plan (as part of investment D1.1.2).
