Local governments will receive funding for respite care. Applications are now open.

Support will be provided by enabling the provision of ad hoc, temporary assistance in the form of respite care services, i.e. relieving the person from the daily duties associated with caring for a person with a disability by providing temporary replacement in this regard.
Thanks to this support, people involved in the daily care of a person with a disability will have time that they can spend on rest and regeneration, as well as on taking care of essential life matters

A commune or poviat may submit an application (Annex 1 to the program) to the relevant voivode via the Solidarity Fund Generator available on the website bfs.mrips.gov.pl, by 3 November 2025.
After verification, the voivode will prepare a list of recommended applications for financing and submit it to the minister by November 26, and the minister will have 30 days to approve the list of recommended applications.
